Background of the college-Ambassador College was established in March 1998 E.C to in charge its national duty in the hotel and tourism program through education and training of skilled hospitality professionals at mid –level that tourism services to the Ethiopian population at large. At that time, private colleges in hotel was evolving for the first time in the history of Ethiopia and the need for training of food preparation was acute. Therefore, a certificate and diploma course in food and hotel management was started.
Ambassador decides to start accounting and management sector in Degree level programs as part and parcel of the higher educational institutions by strengthening and upgrading the ongoing diploma program. This is also true with the changing needs of the society, wide range of development in Bahir dar, Ethiopia.
Therefore, Ambassador College is strongly dedicated in establishing this department of management in order to answer the wide range market demand and to manage more opportunities in human resource. 1. Accounting and Finance, and 2. Management
